In any event, it will die!
It will die
It will die
In any event, it will die!
It will die, alright...
Forest time in an awful mood
sing it out, sing it true
You think about what you truly need
Then stall, hold out and wait
over and over and ove and over and over nadover....
Until you die
Until you die
Whatever you do, you will die.
We will die
In any event, it will die!
It will die, it will die
In any event, it will die!
It will die, alright
This is the place where all dreams meet
And in the days to come, beyond the end
It's ghost will sing
Oh, it's ghost will sing
that it's life
was not for naught
It will ring and ring
through the night
'But, what's the use, in the meantime' she says, with a sigh
It has died.
It has died.
Well, it's you that you seek to drown
Outside the ways of life
Oh, love's reproach, beyond it's touch
And what¹s your point
when you just let it all
pass right by
And then it¹s gone
and you wonder why
you deny
And at this, she walked away.
In any event, it will die.
It will die
It will die
In any event, it will die.
It will die, alright
I believe in what's behind the tree
I believe in what's inside of me
Whether or not, it will die.

When you no longer see the point
fall down
lie prostrate on the floor
Your reactions based on foresight
take away
the joy of what's in store
You do what you will
for you are free
to choose on which side
you will fall
Everything here and now
will be replaced
by someone or something
each in turn
When you finally
and completely realize
what you had is gone
Will you seek to find the moon showers
unspoken
up against the wall
St. Jhonn said,
every man and woman
around you is a star
And 9:3 reminds us
that all the world
sings a sadness song
When you take in the doubts
don't pass them on
until you've had some time
to work it out
for yourself
And if I should fall
before the dawn comes
I will be gone
Will you see me as a point of light
to guide you
and help you all along
Will you be thankful
for the things that you never got
Every man and woman
is a bright blue star
from fall through ascension

Everything that's beautiful
will die and fade away
But, put it in a box too soon
and it will suffocate
Tough pulled apart and cast aside
torn to tiny bits
You might need it someday
You may have to fix that someday
Who am I?
Who do you say that I am?
Everything to come is meaningless
and lacking any sense of discipline
All the world seems to know the words
All the world will sing along
For instance:
If we underline the mechanics of time
We can see how they seek to undermine
My life
Sometimes not a thing... well, most times
Nothing can make a difference
For instance:
I do not want to disappoint
or annoy you
I do not take your love for me lightly
so I do nothing.
and hope it makes a difference.
Hold out your hand to me and smile
sunlight
rain shine
sometimes
most times
Nothing can make it different

I held you down
into the tall grass
And learned the words
they taught were holy
Headlights, they searched the field
to take it all away
My darkness still ten years to fall
Woke up at dawn
to do whatever
You thought would be
the most amusing
I cleared the dishes from the table,
spoke in lies
My darkness still ten years to fall
I saw you next
a few years later
You'd taken buildings
from the Nazis
You used so many words
you'd never known before
Our darkness had begun to fall
Sara, you know
it's really nothing
Sara, you know
it's really nothing
Sara, you know you seemed
so frantic, in your way
As certainly we all will fall
Sara, you know
it's really nothing
Sara, you know
it's really nothing
It takes so long,
but you will die, you know, someday
The world around is not our home

Hollow out the empty path
is it narrow (like yours)?
'You think nothing's wrong', you said
and then you go go on your way
The same way as ours
The same way today
This same way devours
everything
Funny how after all this time
it's the same fucking game
You can still not know it all
while knowing everything
Everything
is yours and mine to hold
(if you want to)
Here is one that never fully sleeps
at no fault of your own
Years of disillusion seek to fault
and try to destroy
Everything
that you and I will seek
to hold onto
Hollow out the empty path
is it narrow (like yours)?
'You think nothing's wrong', you said
and then you go go on your way
Just let it go by
Just usher it on
Just live without knowing
worry

Come out
Move around
I won't take no for an answer
Let's begin
I will be there
from fall through ascension
I won't take no for an answer
Hold out your hands
to me now

All work and no play
that boy's always working
too much
I want more towers
up the walls
hold on tight, don't falter
Feeling out the way to be
can be a drag
(Pick it up.)
Part ways, but not for lack
share the same inception
Feeling tight as a way to live
is no life at all
Actually it's a game
That began at the beginning of the end of it all
It begins with the fall
I have more love than
I could possibly share in one life
Sometimes NOW gets confused with eternity
All work and no play
that boy's always working
too much
to believe
He takes part in the game
But it's beginning to push him up against the wall
He's beginning to fall DOWN

I am not going to be able to do this
I don't talk on the phone
Anxious, at work, feeling sad,
I don't watch much TV
She took advantage of me
Frustrated
Frustrated
Frustrated
She's being so mean
I always going to feel bad
I'm going insane
Relieved at how awful I am at this
8:00 AM, 3:00 AM
6:00 PM
4:30 in the afternoon
23:00 hours
it makes no difference to me
In any event, it will die
In any event, it will die
it will die
In any event, it will die
In any event, it will die!
It will die, alright
In any event, it will die
Something awful is happening
Nothing ever goes my way
Happy, eating dinner
My life is out of control
And I don't want to die
I don't want to die
I don't want to die
This is the place where all dreams come to die (as they certainly will)
When I was sturdier I'd talk about
how certainly we all will die.
(we will)
Die, die ,die, die, die...
In any event, it will die!
It will die
It will die

I'd heard from this lover
who'd burned the words of all of the others
She started a whole new state of perception
it was her fault
that design
corrupt by desire
She's a nightlight to babies
A nightmare to mothers
and something else entirely to all of the others
And she was mine
at least for a short time
And all that I really know is that
you and I, we already know
I've got boxes in piles
all around this office hovel
which makes up some sort of sham life
(but, it was mine)
Well, open a box, take out a picture
of your humble narrator
at seventeen
an age when he'd read too much about
Turkish Delight and a land
ruled by a lion
a lion.... a lie on... you are a lie.
And all that I really know, is that you and I, we already know...
how low I am willing to go.
How low?
How low?
HELLO!
HELLO HELLO...
It's your time,
it's my sham life,
it's my trial,
it's fucked up,
it's maxed out,
it's held down.
Here is a box full of some words or other,
made out to someone,
(oh someone or other)
I once called a friend,
but wanted as lover...
friend / lover...
friend / lover....
friend...
lover.
She was mine.
And so this lover
you know the one who'd burned down all of the others
Well, she was mine
At least for a short time
But, she might as well have been yours
for all I remember
All I have to go on
is boxes full of...
And it's my... Life... Sham... Life... My... Trial...
My sham life, my mock trail, my sham life, my mock trial.
And all that I really know,
is that you and I, we already know

Turn Pale Bloomington, Indiana
From 2000-2007, TURN PALE (from Bloomington, IN) explored the corners of the dancefloor, with a decidedly punk aesthetic;
opting to caress the dark, Rough Trade/Factory/Mute sound from the early 80's post-punk/goth movement. Darkness does not necessitate evil.
